There are many different technologies out there that can be used to assess cow behaviour, production and health; with new technology emerging all the time. These technologies can be used when decision making on farm and can help to improve animal health and production outcomes, however this does rely on the technologies being accurate and then implemented correctly on a farm. When choosing from the wide range of technologies available it can be difficult to know which technology fits best on a farm. In this presentation Jeffery explains some of the different technologies, the importance of balancing specificity vs. sensitivity in the technology and also offers some advice on choosing and implementing technology on farm.
