Fiona Calvert – Analytical advancements in protein testing in NZ

Fiona Calvert is Technical Support (Agriculture) at Hill Labs, providing assistance both internally and externally on methodology and understanding of tests for soil, plant, feed and compost analysis services, to a wide range of primary sector clients. Fiona’s agricultural science career began in 1980 with MafTech/AgResearch as a soil research technician then expanded into plant & feed analysis and quality systems, spanning almost 20 years at the Ruakura Agriculture Research Centre. In 2002, Fiona moved to Hill Laboratories to take up a role as Client Service Manager, and has been fully involved in both the commercial and technical aspects of testing for agricultural customers over that time. Fiona became an associate member of NZARN many years ago, and has a strong interest in livestock farming in particular, after growing up on a small dairy farm in the Bay of Plenty.
